FAQ

What does MemoryPlaces do?

MemoryPlaces helps organize Apple Photos by place. You can create albums based on photo location metadata, such as trips, cities, homes, schools, parks, or other meaningful places.

Does MemoryPlaces upload my photos?

No. MemoryPlaces is designed to process your photos and photo metadata locally on your device.

Your original photos are not uploaded to our servers.

Why does it need photo library access?

MemoryPlaces needs photo library access to read photo metadata, detect GPS location information, create albums, and add matching photos to those albums.

Does it change or delete my original photos?

MemoryPlaces is designed to organize photos into albums. It does not intentionally delete your original photos.

Deleting an album or app configuration is different from deleting original photos from your Apple Photos library.

How do I send TestFlight feedback?

If you are using the TestFlight beta, you can send feedback through the TestFlight app or email us directly at:

Please include:

  • Your device model
  • iOS, iPadOS, or macOS version
  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened
  • Screenshots or screen recordings, if helpful
How do I delete app data?

You can delete MemoryPlaces from your device at any time.

You can also revoke photo library or location permissions in Settings.

Deleting the app may remove local app configuration data, but it does not delete your original Apple Photos library.
